Here's a few links that I have come across lately...
1) Perry offers some encouragement here.
2) We all know someone who is strugggling in one way or another. Young and old have challenges that raise all types of questions in our minds and hearts. Here is one from Mark Beeson.
3) Now that you are all probably a little teary eyed let me lighten the mood a little. I feel a special connection to this blog entry since we drive a toyota sienna mini-van. Check out the video found here. The scary part is I identify with quite a bit of this video. We even have that little piano he's holding.
I am a husband. I am a father. I am a pastor. I am a UNC basketball fan. Most of all I am a child of God and that will never ever change.

Elderly woman fights back against attacker
Elderly woman fights back against attacker

Check out this news story. You might ask why I'm sharing this and that's a fair question. There are two reasons.
#1-Flo is a member of WJACC and we are very thankful that she survived this ordeal.
#2-In a moment when she could justify taking all of the credit and the spotlight she was very diligent about giving God the glory and the praise for protecting her. Wow...what a witness!

Tuesday Morning reflect
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. We took advantage of Chick-fil-a's free chicken sandwich offer for lunch and loved it so much we almost went back for supper. You gotta love the cow!!!
Sunday's service was a little low in number. A lot of people taking advantage of the Labor Day weekend. I hope and pray you all have been able to take advantage of a little more family time this weekend. We had a great service. The music was hummin' and God worked despite my state of sleep deprivation.
Speaking of which, Micah had his two week check up today and he is healthy and strong. He seems to be changing by the hour. I look at Natalie right now and find it hard to believe that 3 short years ago she was that small.
In any case, enough rambling. Here are some cool links for you to check out today.

Awesome Quote!
I traveled by Sam's blog this morning and found this quote that he had up.
"The secret is not me. So many people think that somehow I carry a revival around with me in a suitcase, and they just announce me and something happens-but that's not true. This is the work of God, and the Bible warns that God will not share his glory with another. All the publicity that we receive sometimes frightens me because I feel that therein lies a great danger. If God should take His hand off me, I would have no more spiritual power. The whole secret of the success of our meetings is spiritual-it's God answering prayers. I cannot take credit for any of it."
-Billy Graham-
Also, Perry Noble had this to say about humility recently.
"And then one day I had a conversation with John Maxwell that ROCKED MY WORLD…he said to me,
“Perry, you are where you are for two reasons. The first is the favor of God. The second is the giftedness of God. And Perry, please understand that God didn’t owe you either of these. You are where you are because of Him!”
You can read the rest of Perry's post here.
Great stuff!!!!

Cool links and a prayer
Here are some cool links.
Calm me, O Lord, as You stilled the storm.
Still me, O Lord, keep me from harm.
Let all the tumult within me cease.
Enfold me, Lord, in Your peace.
- Perry hit it hard with this post.
- Read the second quote in Tony's post here.
- Not everyone like TD Jakes but his post about his daughter's wedding is good stuff. Here.

Let all the tumult within me cease.
Enfold me, Lord, in Your peace.
